Managing plans

Managing plans

Your dashboard lists every plan with its live status, collected and outstanding amounts, and the full payment history. Open a plan to see its schedule and take action.

Plan statuses at a glance

StatusMeaningWhat you might do
draftWaiting for the customer to set up and pay the depositResend the setup link, or delete it
active / scheduledDeposit paid, instalments running on scheduleNothing โ€” it runs itself
overdueAn instalment failed; FlexiLay is retrying and reminding the customerUsually nothing โ€” see failed payments
completedPaid in full ๐ŸŽ‰Hand over the goods (lay-by!)
cancelledCancelled by you, the customer, or after payments failed for goodRestock; cancelling never moves money โ€” refund collected payments separately if owed
abandonedSetup was never completed and the draft expiredNothing โ€” nobody was charged

One exception: plans created from a Xero or QuickBooks invoice don't expire โ€” the invoice is the touchpoint, so the plan link stays live for as long as the invoice is unpaid, and the plan closes automatically if the invoice is paid or voided in your ledger.

Actions on a plan

Customers can pay ahead. From their portal they can catch up an overdue instalment, pay the next one early, or chip in any extra amount โ€” every payment shortens the plan. You don't need to do anything to enable this.
